Replace you?

I am the type of person that easily get attached to my stuff. In other words, I think I'm a hoarder but, the less extreme kind. I think I got that from my grandma...she collects antiques. -__-
Anyway, for almost 6 years.. there's one loyal companion by my side. She's with me in whatever mood I'm in. Sad, happy, bored, angry, trying to focus, not trying to focus, lonely, scared but, mostly when I'm bored. She have been through a lot with scratches on her body & even, losing her vision..
She's the one and only..my Creative Zen Neeon, my MP3!

-My 'friend'(pink one) in her glory days-

Yes, she's old in mp3 years. I love her very2 much because she's the first gadget that I bought with my own money. I remembered when I first saw her in a tv commercial, she's soo sleek-looking, small.. and cool. I wanted her badly. Hey, it was teenage era folks. It was considered cool to own a mp3. It's still cool now but, iPhone is way cooler I guess. I don't see people own a mp3 nowadays. The people who own them are mostly my age and above.

-The Creative Zen Neeon Commercial-

Continuing my story..so, I saved my money. My parents were so supportive in me saving my money that they gave me an envelope, wrote the name brand of the mp3 on it & taught me how important it is to be responsible in managing money. The way they acted was as if I was going on a solo trip around the world or something. LOL. Took me around 2++ years & finally, the gadget is mine. :D
My family & friends have been pestering me to replace her bcoz of her condition but, I refused. How could I? She's like a 'living' friend. =(
And now, sad to say.. I think she can no longer function properly. I tried to use her today & bcoz of the 'losing vision', I cannot view her display screen..dunno what I press & she become mute. I flabbergasted & panic of course but, then I thought.. well, maybe it's her time. Let her rest in peace. I guess I can finally let her go. Maybe..
Cleared all the folders in her & just stared at her. Feels weird. Like someone just died peacefully. Hmm.. beginning to feel my attachment to 'non-living stuff' getting creepy. Haha.

To make things worse, my earphone is also dying. Sigh. Well, he's old too. Almost 3 years old. Hmmm..
Soo..trying to cheer myself up.. I surfed the net for possible new mp3. Found one and I like it very much. Maybe it can replace her.

*Have to wait till I get home to buy this fellow (insyallah). In the mean time, I'm thankful technology has improved & I can use my hp to listen to my songs collection.
